What can we do?

It might seem as though this society is hopeless and that there is nothing we can do. However, that's not true. 18 out of 50 states have been successful in abolishing the death penalty. It is possible for us to live in a nation that promotes human rights and peace, not violence. And there are things people of all ages can do to help the cause!

You can: 

• Join a legal, peaceful protest

• Write a letter to your congressman proposing a new bill or Constitutional Amendment

• Join a local chapter of the National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty or a similar organization and help campaign to abolish the death penalty once and for all

• Sign a petition

• Share this photo essay to raise awareness
